This introductory course provides a foundational overview of the theories and practice of sex therapy. The learner is introduced to the history of sex therapy, common topics in sex therapy, as well as frequent sexual problems and interventions in sex therapy.

This course explores research within the field of sexual health beginning with a brief overview of the history of sex research. Learners are then exposed to different research methodologies and are introduced to both past and modern research studies. This course is delievered in an asynchronous format

This course provides training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of sexual issues. Instruction is given on multiple methods of assessment and the utilization of the DSM-5. Learners are exposed to various treatment models to apply to each case study.

Within this course, various religious concepts are addressed that influence a religious client's perception of sex, sexuality, and gender. The learner will discover how to integrate the client's faith in the therapeutic process.
